Washington High School National Honors Society names new members

The Faculty Council at Washington High School have named 36 new members to the National Honor Society. Twenty-six juniors and 10 seniors were elected to membership.

The new senior members are: Isabel Bailey, daughter of Kirk andSarah Bailey; Logan Hanson, son of Chris and Sheila Hanson; Matteo Hernandez, son of Rick and Sarah Bates; David Hora, son of Brian and Theresa Hora; Claire Horak, daughter of Paul and Lynn Horak; Lincoln Kleese, son of Tracy and Amy Kleese; Porscha McClanahan, daughter of Dae and Kevin Haskins and Jason and Renee McClanahan; Chase McDole, son of Mark and Dana McDole; Madison Ross, daughter of Tad and Jennifer Ross; Hayden Westphal, son of Jason and Melissa Westphal.

Juniors named to membership are: Brayton Anderson, son of Summer Anderson; Johnathan Bartholomew, son of Kimberly Smith; Demeri Bell, daughter of Jason and Nancy Bell; Sophie Bell, daughter of Lance and Kerri Bell; Katie Donnolly, daughter of Steve and Bonnie Donnolly; Braeden Duwa, son of Shelly Duwa and Stacy Duwa; Kinsey Duwa, daughter of Shelly Duwa and Stacy Duwa; Madison Fishback, daughter of Nathan and Rachel Fishback; John Flannery, son of Ryan and Diana Flannery; Jade Gilchrist-Brock, daughter of Larry and Mary Gilchrist-Brock;

To be eligible for membership a 3.25 grade-point average is required. Students are also considered for membership on the basis of character, leadership and service.

The local chapter of The American Association of University Women has organized an induction ceremony and reception for the National Honor Society members and their parents to be held at the United Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m.
