The Washington High School boys and girls bowling teams celebrated their 2018-19 season last week with a banquet.
The boys team earned the state Academic Excellence Award, which is given by the Iowa High School Athletic Association for any team averaging a 3.00-3.24 grade point average.
Three girls and one boy, Liam Eldridge, earned Academic All-Conference, which is any junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Those girls were Katie Donnolly, Taylor Northup and Rylie Swart.
Ethan Zieglowsky and Riley Lambert made First Team All-Southeast Conference.
Zieglowsky was also chosen for the All-District team.
Zieglowsky had a 205.7 game average. His high game this season was 276. His series average was 411.3. His high series was 459.
Lambert’s high game was 256 and he had a 181.3 average per game. His high series was 481 with a 362.5 average.
