Dorothys to celebrate 72 years together

Carolyn Smith and Vern Dorothy are celebrating their 72nd anniversary on June 5.
They were married that day in 1949 at the bride’s home in Birmingham. They have two children: R.V. Dorothy of Yuma, Colorado, and Joy (Brian) Messer of Fairfield. They have four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
