CARMA PRINGLE
Brighton
Carma Pringle, 64, of Brighton, died at home Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 22, 1956, to Albert LeRoy and Frances Inez Pickering Hanshaw. She grew up in Pleasant Plain and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1974. She married Kenneth Pringle on Sept. 25, 1982, in Washington. Carma was a homemaker, owner of the Brighton Book Bindery since 1984, lifetime member of the First Church of God and an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; five sons, Daniel (Jamie) of Keota, Byron (Christen Stevens) of North Liberty, Michael of Brighton, Eric (Lacie) of Washington and Davey of Brighton; and seven grandchildren, Chloe, Skylar, Aiden, Mathew, Kinnick, Kyason and Lennyx.
Carma was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jim, Larry, Jerry and Gene Hanshaw; and one sister, Janet Crosby.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, at Brighton First Church of God with Pastors Rick Hughes and Rick Zickefoose officiating. A time to greet the family will be held following the service. Due to COVID-19 concerns, social distancing and masks are requested. Memorials to Brighton Volunteer Fire Department may be left at the church or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 363, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
