A donation from Mt. Pleasant Kiwanis Club is to be used for Iowa Wesleyan University International Studies students this holiday season.
The $1,000 donation will be used for food for the students that are remaining at IWU International Studies at the college during the holiday season.
“We also received money from anonymous donors,” Xiaobin Dai, assistant dean for international education, said. “In addition to the money and food that was received, our office also took donations of new winter apparel and accessories, which were donated by the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant, Mt. Pleasant Evening Rotary Club, and the P.E.O. Chapter OX.”
Dai expressed gratitude for the donation.
“We are truly humbled, grateful and appreciative of the generous donations provided to us by our community partners,” said Dai. “And as a way of paying it forward, the International Education office is offering the help and assistance of international students to the Mt. Pleasant community.“
