Judy Ann (Cowen) Rusk, 53, of Fairfield, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021, in Hedrick, Iowa.

Judy was born on Oct. 20, 1967, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of James and Linda (Fanth) Cowen. She graduated from Pekin High School in the Class of 1986. Judy was united in marriage to Edward Thomas Rusk in 1991; they later divorced. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, drawing and writing of Betty Boop.

She is survived by her children, Rayven (Justin) Rusk, Justine (Cody) Woodsmall and Darean Rusk, her grandchildren, Harley Watkinson and Anarra Woodsmall and Maddox Watkinson, four stepgrandchildren, Alisha Woodsmall, Jayden Woodsmall, Skylar Woodsmall and Serenity Woodsmall, her mother and stepfather, Gary and Linda Fillinger, her sisters, Theresa Cowen Brush and Windy (Ronnie) Link, along with her nieces and nephews, Cole Franklin, Rhett Kirchner, Titan Link, Tiffani (Treavor) Archibald and Michael Brush, her uncle, Ronnie (Karen) Fillinger and aunt, Donna Fillinger.

Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Edmore Cowen and her uncle, John Cowen.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Chautauqua Park, Highway 34 East Burlington Street in Fairfield, Iowa. According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
