MICHAEL SHANE CRABLE
Des Moines
Michael Shane Crable entered into the presence of his heavenly Father on Dec. 10, 2021, in Des Moines, Iowa. He leaves behind earthly pain and trials to rejoice with Jesus for eternity.
Michael was born on Dec. 6, 1980, in Fairfield, Iowa. He devoted many years of service, mentoring and counseling at Adult and Teen Challenge of the Midlands, a faith-based recovery program. In 2019, he took a mission trip to Ethiopia that had a profound effect on him. Michael also had an opportunity to climb Mt. Sherman in Colorado. His testimony impacted many and he continued to give after death as an organ donor.
He will be greatly missed by his parents, Kevin and Becky Hanna of Fairfield; grandparents, Ralph and Jessie Caves of Douds; aunt, Deborah Sirdoreus of Fairfield; sisters, Emily and Madelyn Hanna; children, Austin (Audrey), Malechi, Nile, Serenity and Etta Crable; grandchildren, Urijah, Rhylin and Harper Crable; cousin, Shyann Sirdoreus; and four-legged best friend, Zeke. He also leaves behind countless friends, family and acquaintances who will miss his wit, sense of humor and magnetic personality.
His father, Richard Shane Franklin, preceded him in death.
Thank you, Iles Funeral Home in Des Moines, for taking care of the cremation.
In recent months, Michael found comfort in Psalm 40: "I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our Lord."
Those who wish to remember Michael's life and carry on his legacy are encouraged to make a donation in Michael's memory to a ministry that played a big part in his life, Adult and Teen Challenge of the Midlands. Please visit their website at mysheepgate.org for more information on their mission and how to make a donation.
