Scooter’s Coffee will be opening up in Mt. Pleasant sometime in mid-October.
The Nebraska chain coffee shop is located at 1810 E. Washington St. in Mt. Pleasant.
Scooter’s coffee shops have been shooting up around southeast Iowa in recent years. Burlington, Fort Madison, Keokuk, Ottumwa, Oskaloosa and soon to be Fairfield.
Jeremy Music, who owns the majority of the Scooter’s Coffees in the area, says a big part of Scooters Coffee is getting involved with the community.
“I've grown up in Southeast Iowa,” Music said. “I’m pretty familiar with these towns around here and we love the smaller communities. We love to get involved in the communities. Anything we can do to make an positive impact in the community is what we like to do.”
Mt. Pleasant has always been on Music’s radar, it just never worked out until now.
Mt. Pleasant was actually where I wanted to go first, but we just couldn’t find a location,“ Music said.
The drive-through kiosk serves a variety of beverages.
The shop’s signature drink is the Caramelicious. The menu also features an abundance of espresso beverages, along with single-origin coffee, fruit smoothies, Red Bull infusions, Cold Brew, baked-from-scratch pastries and an assortment breakfast options.
Scooter’s recently released its first-ever ready-to-drink canned flavored lattes.
The Nebraska-based coffee chain primarily makes use of a drive-thru strategy to get customers their coffee quickly.
The company was founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles in Bellevue, Nebraska.
