BCC Food Pantry receives donation
The Brighton Community Church (BCC) Food Pantry recently received over 350 pounds of ground pork through a Tyson Foods donation to Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP).
Some of that meat was used to prepare meals for the homeless and lower-income individuals at Celebrate Recovery meetings in Brighton, Washington and Fairfield.
The majority of the large tubes donated were repackaged by the Brighton Locker, at their cost, into family-friendly packages for distribution by the BCC Food Pantry.
The Brighton Locker’s donation of their time, expertise and equipment advances food security in the Brighton area.
