Easter happenings, and Lions Club meets

FOURTH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Theo Watson, son of Samantha and Jared Watson of Ames celebrated his fourth birthday, which was April 10 on Saturday, April 8 at the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville with his sister, Maggie and his grandparents, Steve and Janice Williams of Crawfordsville and Scott Watson and Virginia Watson of Fort Madison and aunts, Kris Williams and Liz Watson present to enjoy the occasion.
EASTER HAPPENINGS
Opal Reschly accompanied her granddaughter and husband, Melissa and Walker Evans of North Liberty to the home of her daughter and husband, Steve and Cindy Butcher at Parnell on Easter. Others present were other members of the Evans family and Carrie Christner, Izabella and Sophia.
Guests in the home of Doug and Carol Steele on Easter were Doug and Carrie Wilkerson and Emma of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele, Kylie and Clayton of Crawfordsville.
Sunday evening, Scott and Jeanne Davis hosted their family to a Easter gathering at the United Church of Crawfordsville Fellowship Hall. Attending were Ryan and Carman Davis, Paxton and Peyton and Marcus and Brittany Davis, Makinley, Bryson and Merrick, all of Wayland, Angela Davis, Chris McClain and Chase of Washington and Amber and Rebecca Davis of Crawfordsville.
Billie Jo Rose and Kevin Rose were Easter dinner guests of Joi and David Dellamuth at Williamsburg.
Kathy and Mick Garris of Winfield, Larry and Donna Fletcher of Crawfordsville and Steve and Pam Green of Washington joined Robin Fletcher and Mike Rolling and friends at their log home in Albia for Easter.
James and Mary Kisor, Rachyl and Emily spent Easter weekend in Poplar Bluffs, MO visiting Mary's mother, Cora Johnson. While there they also saw Mary's sisters and brothers and many nieces and nephews.
LIONS CLUB MEETING
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, April 10, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the Crawfordsville Community Room for their monthly dinner meeting. Ten members were in attendance. President Finke opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Gene Miller offered prayer.
Following dinner prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler the meeting reconvened. The minutes of the March 27 meeting were approved as read by Secretary Rose. Treasurer Finke gave his report.
Old Business: The slate of officers for 2023-24 were read and a motion was made and they were approved unanimously. The new chairs have been received for the fire station and a motion was made, seconded and approved to purchase 12 more with the money received from the rebate.
New Business: Discussion was held concerning the club's participation at Crawfordsville Fun Days on Saturday, July 8. The club will once again serve lunch with more details forthcoming at the next meeting.
Following adjournment, President Finke entertained with trivia about important dates and toys.
