Midnight Madness at WHS April 28

Youth for Christ in Southeast Iowa will have its first major event in Washington on April 28 at Washington High School.

Midnight Madness will be a lock-in basketball tournament for the first eight teams that register.

The tournament will be for 9th-12th grade boys and will begin at 6 p.m. with free pizza and pop.

Nic Wilson, former Iowa Wesleyan All-American Conference player of the year will be the motivational speaker and will serve as a guest referee.

This event is sponsored by Noon Kiwanis, local churches and area businesses.

More volunteers are needed to assist. Criminal background checks will be needed for all adult volunteers.

Medals will be given for first, second and third place, and an annual trophy will be presented to the winning team to keep for one year.
