Gwen McFarlane and her husband Kevin Zenz are the parents of Jacob Neil Zenz, born April 5, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Jacob is the grandson of Rob and Marty McFarlane, of Iowa City; and Steve and Gayla Zenz, of Des Moines.Great-grandparents are Ron and Desse Johnston, of Washington; and the late Jackie Johnston.

The Fifth annual Germanville Walnut No. 5 School Reunion was held on April 8, at the Wayland City Hall. A potluck meal was held at noon and enjoyed by 37 students, spouses and friends.
