AGRILAND FS Inc., a locally-owned cooperative, has announced that Elizabeth Schnicker, daughter of Perry Schnicker of Washington, has been awarded one of the $1,000 scholarships from the Agriland FS Foundation. Schnicker plans to attend Iowa State University to study agronomy.Six scholarships were awarded across the AGRILAND FS geography to graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a career in agriculture.

The Washington County Extension Office housed 156 chicks this past week for the standardized production broiler class. 4-H?ers enrolled in this class purchase and raise a dozen chicks and then bring the three most similar and best in weight to compete at the fair in July.
