For many, summertime means yard sale time. Thursday night storms couldn?t keep this sale from happening. Even before 8 a.m., Friday, these tables were uncovered and patrons were cruising the yard, looking for that one great find.
It is late July and that means most of the corn has tasseled. Dry conditions during the tasseling had farmers on edge. However, some of the fears were alleviated Thursday night when the region received its first meaningful rain in weeks. Mt. Pleasant received over two inches of rain and in the New London area, there were reports of nearly four inches.
