Washington County Historical Society held its annual meeting at 6 p.m., April 25, at Altenhofen Barn. Thirty-five people attended, and Mary Levy served as mistress of ceremonies.Guest speakers were Erma and Dennis Altenhofen, who told about designing and building the peg barn. The Conservation Education Center at Marr Park will switch to Summer Hours beginning Sunday, May 1. The following hours are effective through Labor Day 2016: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
