The What Cheer Wind Band will perform in concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at the What Cheer Opera House in What Cheer. Gary McCurdy of Washington will play a tuba solo, "Blues for Bill," with the group. Eighty-eight volunteers from the Washington County Hospital and Clinics were honored Monday, April 6, with a breakfast at Cafe Dodici. According to a press release from WCHC, the volunteers have contributed more than 3,800 hours and 780 combined years of service.The breakfast was in observance of National Volunteer Week, which is celebrated April 12-18.
