The monthly meeting of Chapter OC, P.E.O., met at the home of Deb Jewell with Nancy Love serving as co-hostess on Oct. 9.Seventeen members heard a program that reviewed the lives of six "Renaissance Women" that is this year's program?s theme. They included Maya Angelo, Clara Barton, Anne Frank, Susan B. Anthony, Margaret Thatcher, and Marie Curie.The next meeting is 7 p.m. Nov. 13, at the home of Margi Jarrard.

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation will meet at the Washington County Hospital Board Room at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15. This is a public meeting.Items on the tentative agenda include public comments, approve auditor for 2015, set up procedure for reviewing fall 2015 grant applications, interview director candidates, vote on new directors, and comments by board members.
