Canning season will soon be here and Washington County Extension is offering testing of dial gauge pressure canners. Pressure canners with a dial-type pressure gauge should be tested each year for accuracy. Canner lids will be tested from 9 to 11 a.m. on June 9 and June 23. Justina Anderson is among 71 students who received honors recently at Northwestern College in Orange City.Anderson of Washington is a sophomore and is majoring in music ministry at Northwestern College. She is a recipient of the Gaalswyk-De Vries Vocal Scholarship and the Music Ministry Journal Award. Anderson is the daughter of Paul and Cynthia Anderson.

The Tuesday Coffee Club met May 6, for the last business meeting of this year before the summer coffees.
