Hannah Gent, a native of Wellman, has graduated from the Diagnostic Medial Sonography Program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.The 18-month education program is approved by the Joint Review Committee in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and accepts approximately 10 students each year.
Nationally known artist John Preston will give a free painting demonstration to members of Iowa Artists on Saturday, March 29, at the annual Region 12 show competition. The demonstration will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second floor of the Washington Public Library. In addition, the public may view the art show from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Plans are being finalized for the Washington alumni bands to perform Sunday, June 8, the final day of Washington?s 175th Celebration.
