Production swine weigh-in held to kick off swine projects for Washington County Fair

Washington County 4-H/FFA members weighed-in production swine projects on Saturday, April 9 for the 2022 Washington County Fair marking the official start date of their project.

20 4-H members weighed in 123 gilts and barrows were weighed in for the production classes and 23 additional barrows were weighed for the single source commercial swine class.

4-H members with these market pigs must identify these animals in 4hOnline by May 15.

Any additional market pigs or breeding swine need to be entered into 4hOnline accounts by May 15 as well. Staff at the Extension Office can assist with this important if needed.
