How to register for Fairfield schools
Aug. 4, 2021 10:55 am
Online registration for the 2021-22 school year began July 12 for the Fairfield Community School District.
Online registration works best using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
If the student lives in a shared household (splits time between mom and dad), the parent/guardian of the primary household must register the student. If custody has changed, contact the ACT Office.
Families new to the district may register anytime at the ACT Office, 403 S. 20th St. Online is not an option for new students.
Existing school district families will register students through Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Once logged in to the Parent Portal, Online Registration will be found under "More" on the menu.
You will verify/update information for all returning students in your household.
If your family contains a new kindergartner, there will be an option to add a new student after verifying your existing information.
This assumes the kindergartner is already listed as part of your household.
Pre-K students must be registered at the ACT Office.
Transportation (busing) requests will be part of online registration. You will receive bus route information by Aug. 19. Contact the transportation office at 641-472-5252 with questions.
Encounters to plan on during registration:
• Providing health information, including medical conditions, medications and immunizations.
• Indicating interest in sports participation (seventh-12th grades).
• Requesting a high school parking permit.
• Pick up permit at Fairfield High school orientation/open house on Aug. 20 or once school starts.
Downloading & uploading forms
If you can’t upload the forms or need to complete/send them later, you may:
Fax them to Attn: Registration at (641) 472-0269.
Email to portal@fairfieldsfuture.org.
Mail/deliver to the ACT Office, 403 S. 20th St., Fairfield IA 52556.
If needed, you can save your in-progress registration & return to it later for completion (make note of your application number). Once complete, you will have the option to save or print a PDF of your application.
You will receive an email confirming registration submission. You will receive another email once the application has been approved and posted.
Online payments can now be made directly through Infinite Campus Parent Portal under Fees. The district is no longer using PaySchools.
Fee amounts: If you plan to apply for free or reduced lunches (which could reduce or waive book fees), wait until eligibility is determined in August to pay your fees. You can set up your payment methods under Fees > My Accounts. You can also schedule recurring payments to put money on account for food service based on either low balance amount or a designed time frame.
Optional payments (activity pass) can be reached from Fees > My Accounts or a tab at the bottom of the Fees screen.
There will be a 2.95% service fee for credit/debit card payments (Mastercard/Visa).
There is no fee if you pay by ACH from a checking or savings account.
Parent Portal Access:
If you forgot your Parent Portal username or password, use the links on the login page to recover your username or reset your password.
If this does not work, or you do not have a Parent Portal account, email portal@fairfieldsfuture.org. You must be a legal parent/guardian to be granted a Parent Portal account.
If you need assistance completing online registration, a kiosk will be available at the ACT Office during business hours. Computers and assistance will be available at the Fairfield Middle School on Fee Payment Day, Aug. 5. Available times are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4-7 p.m. that day.
If you have questions or receive an error, email details to portal@fairfieldsfuture.org or call 641-472-6836, Ext. 2.
