Van Buren Harmony FFA participates in Festival of Trees

The following are some of the events that Van Buren Harmony FFA members engaged in during the past year.
Festival of Trees
Van Buren Harmony FFA members decorated a tree for the annual Festival of Trees in Keosauqua in December 2021. The trees are decorated by groups and individuals who volunteer their time and supplies. The trees are offered for sale through a silent auction. All of the proceeds go to the Christmas for Kids program that provides gifts for local families. The FFA members enjoyed planning for and making the ornaments during November.
Van Buren Harmony FFA members plan FFA Week Activities
Van Buren Harmony FFA members have several activities planned for the 2022 FFA Week February 21-25. Middle School and High School students are encouraged to dress up with our Ag Themed dress up days. The FFA Chapter will be providing a trivia game and Iowa Agricultural facts to the elementary classes to help lead discussions about agriculture and FFA. Elementary students are also encouraged to color our Ag themed coloring pages.
Van Buren Harmony FFA members to compete in Sub-District Contests
Seven Van Buren Harmony FFA members will compete in the South Sub District Contest on Monday, February 21st. Members will be competing in the areas of Greenhand Quiz, Welding, Ag Broadcasting, Extemporaneous Speaking and Job Interview. Good Luck to these members!
