Fairfield Parks and Recreation offers something for whole family

The Fairfield Parks and Recreation’s facilities feature a variety of entertainment and fitness options. A 25-yard indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, three basketball courts, three pickleball courts, a racquetball court, indoor cycling, professional weight and cardio equipment, a 200-yard walking track, and a variety of fitness classes onsite are favorite features at the recreation center, located at 1000 W. Burlington Ave. in Fairfield.

Adult volleyball and basketball leagues meet throughout the winter. Youngsters are invited to participate in the rec center’s After School Recharge Program. The aquatic center offers private and group swim lessons. Guests can participate in the “Pacers Program” to walk the track for $1, and 5k races throughout the year. Holiday events such as the Turkey Trot and Easter Egg Hunt are a couple of annual standards.

Monday-Friday — 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday — 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

SUMMER HOURS

Monday-Friday — 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday — 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday — 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

ADMISSION FEES

• Daily $5 (adult)*

• Punch Cards** $90 for adults; $50 for ages 17 and under.

• Passes are available for individuals, couples and families.

• *Children ages 2 and under admitted free. $3 for children under 18.

• **Punch cards are good for 20 visits.
