Jefferson County Conservation offers online cabin and shelter reservations

Both cabins located in Jefferson County Park can be reserved online at JeffersonCountyConservation.com. These two cabins are located at the west end of the campground. The 16-foot by 12-foot cabin sleeps five people and comes equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, table and chairs, air conditioner, picnic table, potable water supply and campfire ring. A shower-restroom facility is nearby. Cabin #1 is wheelchair accessible. The cabins are available to rent May through October.
The picnic area shelters in Jefferson County Park can also be reserved online (May-October). To check available dates and make a reservation go to our website JeffersonCountyConservation.com. Shelters 1, 2, and the Gazebo are available for $20/day and Shelter 3 can be rented for $40/day. There will be a $4 processing fee added at the time of payment. Reservations must be made three days in advance of the reserved date.
Jefferson County Conservation Campgrounds
Jefferson County Park – 24 campsites are open late April-October, and include electricity and water, modern restrooms, hot showers, drinking water, playground equipment and a dump station. Current fees are $20/night with electric or $15/night without.
Mac Coon Access – The 20-site campground located on the Skunk River includes; electricity, a pit latrine toilet, shelter house, rural water, playground, boat ramp, and fish cleaning station. A dump station is available as you leave the area. Current fees are $15/night with electric and $10/night without (April-October).
Round Prairie Park – Primitive campground (no electric/water) - $5/night.
*Coming Soon* - Prairie Ridge Campground – Currently under construction - this new 14 site campground located on the east side of Jefferson County Park will offer reservable sites designed for large camper trailers and motorhomes. Each site will provide water, electric, and sewer hookups.
Several things remain to be done this spring before the area will open for use. These include seeding, tree planting, seal coating and shoulder work, placing fire rings and tables, installing directional and informational signs, etc. Estimated opening – June 1, 2025. Information about making reservations, fees, and rules for the new campground will be available later this spring.
