The Fairfield Fire Department responded to a gas spill at 6:42 p.m. Sunday at Jet Stop, 120 E. Burlington Ave. According to the Fairfield Police Department, Kara Greiner, 17, was pumping gas into her car, failed to pay attention to the pump, which did not shut off and pumped 23 gallons of gas into her car?s gas tank, which can hold 17.5 gallons.
