Fairfield Fire Department responded to an automatic alarm at 10:03 a.m. Tuesday at 404 S. Fourth St., Logan Apartments. It was found that the elevator room got hotter than normal and the oil and heat set off detectors. There was no damage. Firefighters propped open a door and directed a fan into the room.
