The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office responded to an accident Saturday on Highway 34. According to the accident report, a 2003 Ford van driven by Christy Sue White of Mount Pleasant was westbound when it dropped off the road from the inside lane. White overcorrected, and the vehicle spun out of control, coming to rest on the driver?s side in the median. Estimated damages to the vehicle are $5,000.

ASSOCIATE DISTRICT COURTMichelle Jenette Troxel, 44, of Lockridge pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated-first offense and was ordered to pay a $1,250 fine and a $10 drug abuse resistance education surcharge.
