Fairfield’s annual celebration of Independence Day will include fireworks beginning at dusk on Thursday, July 4 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Friday was a long and stressful day for young 4-H’er Jackson Stremsterfer, but luckily it had a happy ending.

Alisia Brock received her crown and sash during Wednesday night’s Queen Contest in the show arena at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Kaleigh Adrian received first runner-up, and Chloe Frescoln received Miss Congeniality.
