4-H and FFA Members show off their chops
4-H and FFA members are excited to put their hard work on display at this year’s Henry County Fair

MT PLEASANT — 4-H and FFA members work hard year-round to prepare animals, projects, and presentations for fair season.
Their hard work will be displayed for all to see every day of fair week.
“Our 4-H’ers work really really hard all year and what a great way for them to show off their hard work,” 4-H County Youth Coordinator Erin Heaton said. “It is always great to have an audience when you show off your hard work.”
Prior to the official fair week of July 12-18, the horse show will be held at 2 p.m.
Exhibit judging begins 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 and continues through 3:30 p.m. with State Qualifiers for exhibits announced at 7 p.m.
Clover Kids and Open Class exhibit judging will be 8-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Fairgoers can take in the Dog Show at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 14, bucket cattle calf interviews from 11 a.m. to noon with the show to follow at 6:30 p.m., the rabbit show at 1 p.m., and working exhibits at 5:30 p.m.
Friday, July 15, the Swine show will begin at 8 a.m., poultry will be at 2 p.m., and the Clover Kid Graduation Ceremony will be held at 5 p.m.
Saturday, the beef show starts at 9 a.m. and 4-H and FFA activities wrap up after the 1 p.m. beef production show.
Sunday morning starts off with the sheep show at 8:30 a.m. with goats following 30 minutes later.
Monday, July 18 brings the fair to a close with the ribbon auction will be held at 9 a.m.
