Mar. 26, 2024 5:55 pm
Since its foundation in 1835, the city of Mt. Pleasant has been at the center of Henry County’s history and development. The seat of the county government since 1837, it has also featured a strong role in culture.
The city held an estimated 9,132 residents according to the 2022 census, making it the largest in Henry County. That, plus its highway and railroad connections make it the largest in the county’s business center, drawing many residents of the surrounding area into it’s workforce.
