There are 10 incorporated towns in Henry County, five of them with populations under 300. The following city officials can provide you with information about the area and what you will need to know about each city.
New London is a quiet community nestled in between Mt. Pleasant and Burlington and is the perfect place to settle for those looking to call a small-town home.
New London has several small businesses to meet all your needs from our general store to our chiropractor and everything in between including a meat market, local hair stylists, gas stations, medical office, optometrist, home décor store and post office.

Wayland is a small, progressive community in Southeast Iowa where residents take pride in small town values. It’s a place where you can walk down the street and know your neighbors, where folks pull together in times of need, and where children can grow up in a safe and friendly community.
Wayland promotes economic growth by offering various financial tools that foster entrepreneurial and business expansion. A short commute just 10 miles north to Washington, 20 miles to Mt. Pleasant or 40 miles to Burlington or Iowa City allows small town living with nearby city amenities.

The City of Winfield is a family-focused, volunteer-minded community, strategically connected, secure and poised for growth. Incorporated in 1882, Winfield has grown to become a supporting player to its neighboring cities offering affordable housing, low cost of living, and low crime rates.
Located in southeast Iowa, just 15 miles northeast of Mt. Pleasant, 45 miles south of Iowa City, 25 miles southeast of Washington. Winfield is another great location to be able to enjoy the small-town values without giving up big city amenities.
