HOMEgirl Realty is the vision of three friends who have worked together for well over 20 years in the real estate industry. We want to foster an environment where our clients feel supported and valued every step of the way.
Whether you’re buying or selling a property, we have systems in place to ensure that the paperwork is organized and professional, that we communicate with you throughout the process, and that our affiliates do their best work for you across Southeast Iowa. We want to end up at the closing table with happy clients that feel comfortable and informed about the process.
The members of our team include Melissa Westphal, Charla Howard and Heather Marek. All three of us are brokers, bringing over 80 combined years of experience to our clients. We serve on various boards in the area to keep us involved and engaged in our communities. Melissa serves on the board of the YMCA of Washington County, the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center Board, and is an adviser to the Alpha Phi Sorority at the University of Iowa. Charla serves on the Board of Adjustment, is the chairperson for the Washington County Board of Review, and is an Ambassador for the Washington Chamber of Commerce. Heather is also an Ambassador, and currently serves on the Main Street board as well as various boards at church.
Between the three of us, we have 13 children and soon-to-be seven grandchildren (those are all Charla’s!) so we know a little bit about being efficient and organized! We also know the value of your time and we do not want to waste it with useless steps.
Melissa, Charla and Heather value teamwork and collaboration with each other and with all the affiliates they work with. By maintaining a positive working environment and relationships, they have a knack for tackling problems and taking initiative.
