Jenny Morgan strives to do everything she can for her clients, bringing a one-of-a-kind experience to her real estate business.
Morgan didn’t always plan to get into real estate.
After graduating from Kirkwood College with a degree in ag business, she began a career at Syngenta in Washington in 2000. After 16 years with the company, Morgan was laid off in a restructuring move at the end of 2016.
“I was devastated,” she said. “So I said to my husband, ‘What am I going to do with my life?’ And he said, ‘Whatever you want.’”
At 37, in 2017, Morgan decided to change careers and get licensed as a real estate agent. Morgan got licensed in February and began with Elliott Realty Group on Valentine’s Day of 2017.
In her practice, Morgan says she strives to go above and beyond for her clients, delivering handwritten notes and birthday cards. She said she does what she can to help her clients and get back to them right away, even after a sale is made.
“I always want to be the first person that comes to their mind when they need something,” she said. “I want to solve people’s problems, because if I gain their trust, and I’m a value to them, they’re always going to remember me.”
Growing up in Hedrick, about 45 minutes southwest of Washington, Morgan said she appreciates the small-town atmosphere of Washington.
She sells houses mostly in Washington County, and she said she enjoys running into clients and acquaintances around town or at the farmers market.
“I love going to local events and seeing people love our community because we have so many great things in our little town to offer,” she said.
