L.J. Roth Reconstruction Inc. was started in 1971 by Larry J. Roth.
It started with rebuilding and straightening up structures that had been damaged by fire and storm. This included travel trailers and motorhomes. By the mid 1970s, a millwork shop was added to produce cabinets and millwork to replace damaged wood trim for jobs.
By the late 1970s, a property development company was started that included purchasing and developing property in numerous states. In 1981, the purchase of McCoy Plumbing and Heating was added. Within a few years, a second location for McCoy Plumbing and Heating was added in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
By the mid 1980s, cleaning services and water mitigation services were added. Also, within that time frame Larry Roth acquired a pilot’s license and started a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) offering aircraft mechanic services. An electrical service was added to the business.
L.J. Roth obtained a General Contractor license in numerous states. L.J Reconstruction Inc. completed numerous projects in California, Arizona, Nebraska, Florida, New York, and New Jersey just to name a few. That led to a structural consulting business, Aaxiom Consulting, LLC., that still operates today. In 1998, large property loss restoration was added to the business. During that time, L.J. Roth Restoration Service was formed under L.J. Roth Reconstruction Inc., a debris pickup and removal service was added and a second restoration company was started in Phoenix.
Today, L.J. Roth Restoration Service is owned and operated by L.J. Roth in Olds, Iowa, and his son Jeffrey Roth is the General Manager. With just under 50 employees, L.J. Roth Restoration Service is a proud family-owned business that has been serving Southeast Iowa and surrounding states since 1971, offering full services to residential and commercial property owners that have been damaged by Fire, Water, Mold and Storm with aircraft means to quickly get to distant disasters.
