Laundro-Mutt Grooming Salon approaches five-year anniversary

You really can accomplish great things when you are put under immense pressure and when you least expect big changes to come your way. The Laundro-Mutt Grooming Salon LLC was brought to life when I had experienced some unexpected differences with a former grooming salon owner that I worked for. I didn’t have a plan of what was next, but I decided it was time to leave and take a step into my dreams of owning my own grooming salon.
I knew I had the talent, knowledge and skills for the job performance itself but with all the other responsibilities of owning your own business come into play, it really left me unsure of how things could pan out. I had to tell myself constantly, “You can do this, one step at a time, each little detail will fall into place!”
The advertisement began right away to announce that I will be in town, I didn’t know where, but I continued to look for a location. Right away I partnered with the local veterinary clinics to see if they had by ideas of where I can begin. Washington Vet Clinic solved the mystery of a location. I went in to speak with them and immediately they told me that the spot right next door was mine if I wanted it. Knowing that there was much work to be done to open the doors to my clients, my husband and I began renovations right away. I was very optimistic even with some challenges we had to face.
After a couple months of work, June 17th, 2019, became The Laundro-Mutt’s grand opening day! Everything fell into place way easier than I want to admit. The stress levels were at an all-time high, but the client inquiries were coming in left and right. Before I knew it, I was full of appointments and the swing of things took off. Along the way I went from operating entirely by myself, to adding some help that I needed to keep up with the demand of services.
Fast forward to October 5th, 2020, The Laundro-Mutt’s continuing growth and success landed us another great opportunity to move our business into a bigger location on the square of Washington where we continue to operate today. We are coming up to our 5-year anniversary in business, five years’ work of building ever-lasting relationships with our clients, adding more determined workers to our team and scouting out our next opportunity to grow, we certainly have a promising future.
I cannot wait to offer more services to the dog and cat owning community of Washington as we embark on this journey. We are sure blessed and humbled as a small business with big potential and an even bigger love for every fur client that we take into our care.
