You can get everything from a life insurance policy to retirement planning at Farm Bureau Financial Services in Mt. Pleasant. They make sure that the client is the highest of their priorities at the Bureau.
The Farm Bureau provides life Insurance, annuities, mutual funds, farm insurance, ranch insurance, auto insurance, home insurance, retirement, and more. Making them your one stop shop for all financial and insurance needs in Mt. Pleasant and surrounding communities.
Not only do they have a little bit of everything, they are dedicated to finding what kind of insurance you need and finding the best fit for you.
“We’re definitely genuine and going to do what’s best for the client and address their needs,” said Tony Starr one of the two Farm Bureau agents in Mt. Pleasant. “We’re going to sit down and find out each client’s objective for what they need and what they need to insure because everyone’s situation is different.”
Not only are they focused on bringing you the best bang for your buck, but they are actually college best friends.
Mike Welcher and Tony Starr met in 1997 when they both went to Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, where they both played college basketball.
They eventually became roommates and best friends, then their friendship blossomed into a business partnership.
In 2017, Tony was recruited by agency manager Phil West to work in the Mt. Pleasant agency.
Once hired by the agency, Starr was asked by Welcher, his longtime friend who had been living in Minneapolis and wanted to get back into the area, if he could throw some job opportunities his way and eventually a position opened in Farm Bureau, and it was a match made for Mt. Pleasant
Before the Farm Bureau each had his own successful career. Mt. Pleasant graduate Welcher had worked in the hotel business for 18 years in Minneapolis before moving back to Iowa to get closer to family. Starr had worked for Highland Ventures that owned Family Video before he came to Farm Bureau managing 20 of the local family videos.
Now the dynamic duo offer great rates and all in one financial services to the Mt. Pleasant area.
