With recent supply shortages and an increase in demand, Wiley’s Interiors has stayed focused on helping their neighbors fulfill their need for new appliances, floor coverings, furniture, bedding, fireplaces, kitchen and bath cabinetry, countertops and window treatments, including installation, repair service and design help.
John Housman, the owner of Wiley’s Interiors, described their recent busy schedule and having to make delivery and service appointments weeks ahead. Housman also mentioned their dedication to serving their patrons and making sure that those with dire needs get taken care of.
“Right now, our delivery and service schedule is full for a couple weeks out, and we’ve been having to prioritize installations and even repairs, but we always try to accommodate those in dire need as soon as possible,” Housman said. “With the pandemic causing shortages in everything needed to build everything and with the increase in demand, it’s delayed delivery of products all around.”
With delivery of new products taking sometimes up to six months Wiley’s had to alter its business model to accommodate those with the direst need first.
To do this they have done things like accumulate a series of loaner refrigerators to let customers who buy new refrigerators use until their new one arrives. Then they will switch it out. This allows customers to have a working refrigerator until their new one arrives.
Wiley’s is proud to offer quality furniture, appliances, bedding, kitchen and bath cabinetry, counter tops, flooring, fireplaces and window treatments to Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding communities.
They are proud to offer delivery and installation, as well as repair services to their customer’s during these difficult times.
Wiley’s also has had a difficult time during the pandemic after having to close their showroom last march for several weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic.
During the pandemic, John with the help of Tarrant French, a service/delivery tech with Wiley’s, worked to handle all of their appliance repair calls during the shutdown.
“During the shutdown the two of us continued to work here and provide service to people who needed service repair and prioritized the calls for necessity,” said Housman.
“People needed food preservation, the ability to cook, do laundry, so we prioritized the neediest first and people were very understanding of that,” he added.
Overall, Wiley’s Interiors is dedicated to helping their small town and helping their customers.
“We’ve been around since 1991, and we’re a family-owned business with deep roots in the community, and we’re here to look out for our customers and our community,” Housman said.
