No. 11 West Branch downs Mid-Prairie

Local volleyball action Monday saw two matches played but both were losses.

No. 11 Bears defeat Golden Hawks

Mid-Prairie dropped a River Valley Conference match to the visiting West Branch Bears, who are ranked at No. 11 in Class 3A.

The Golden Hawks started slow but took a set from the Bears before losing 3-1, 25-9, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16.

West Branch is 11-3 while Mid-Prairie is 4-4.

Sigourney sweeps Keota

In a South Iowa Cedar League match, Sigourney defeated visiting Keota 25-14, 25-10, 25-17.
