Nonennenmann elected for Elite

It takes a lot of talent to be selected to an elite team and Mid-Prairie's Maddie Nonnenmann has basketball talent thgat just keeps getting better.

In the 2018-19 season, Nonnenmann was the only freshman to recieve recognition from the league when she was a pick for Honorable Mention. Last season, she was selected for the league's All-South Division Team. This season, Nonnenmann, a junior, was one of 10 girls who were prime choices for the River Valley Conference Elite Team.

The Golden Hawks had two All-South Division players with seniors Phelan Hostetler and Maya Lugar. Sophomore Amara Jones garnered Honorable Mention. Lugar was named to the South All-Division Team as a sophomore.

Nonnenmann was seventh in the South Division in averages per game of both rebounds (6.7) and points (13.3).

In the South, Nonnenmann was fifth in blocks per game at 0.7, behind teammate Phelan Hostetler, who was third with 2.5 and fifth in Class 3A with 55 total.

Hostetler led the South in field goal percentage at 50.6 and Nonnenmann was fifth at 46.5. Nonnenmann was fourth in defensive rebounds per game with 5.4.

Jones was fourth in assists (3.6 a game) and Lugar was seventh (2.7).
