Mt. Pleasant, WACO will host state track qualifying meets

DES MOINES — Sites for the Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union track and field 2021 state-qualifying meets have been announced.

These district meets are currently set for May 13 in all classes for both boys and girls.

Qualifiers from the district meets advance to the 2021 Iowa High School Track and Field Championships, currently set for May 20-22 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.

There will be no more than 24 qualifiers in any event in any classification.

Area schools Mt. Pleasant and WACO will be district sites, but specific teams assignments have not been determined.

Sites for Classes 1A, 2A and 3A are listed.

Class 3A

Carlisle, Glenwood, Independence, MOC-Floyd Valley, Mt. Pleasant, Nevada, Pella, Solon

Class 2A

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Hudson, Jesup, Manson Northwest Webster, Tipton, Treynor, West Marshall State Center, West Sioux Hawarden

Class 1A

Audubon, Belle Plaine, Edgewood-Colesburg, Grundy Center, Lawton-Bronson, Madrid, Mount Ayr, Northwood-Kensett, WACO, West Harrison Mondamin
