Give your carriers an early Christmas present

To the editor:
In reading the announcement about the changes in The Ledger delivery of your local evening paper, I became aware of the effect this will have on those who deliver the paper to your homes.
These folks and kids have given you the best service. You can see them walking in all kinds of weather – extreme cold and now heat. They have done a great job. This job has taught them responsibility, money management, achieving goals and, in some cases, establishing long-lasting friendships.
With this service ending in August, I am suggesting that you please consider giving your carrier the final 'Christmas” bonus early. I'm sure most of the carriers would be surprised by your kindness to say 'thank you for your dedication” this way.
