Support the message
August 5 was perfect for the Crooked Creek Days Parade in Winfield, a small family oriented town in the far northeast corner of Henry County.
Out of sight, out of mind for some, but a very friendly community that is home to the county’s “Freedom Rock.“
Among parade exhibits, two young girls carried a banner to announce the Henry County Republican Party float.
It stood out with its patriotic theme, representing the patriots that Republicans are while the float sides were covered with candidate’s campaign signs. But only one county elected official was on the float.
Winfield may be a distance from the County Seat, but their tax dollars and votes count equal to any others. Henry is a strong Republican county, but a little research found that most elected county officials don’t even support the party while they run for office under the Republican banner.
Most don’t attend monthly meetings and some would be unrecognized on the street by most citizens. They seem content to let the County Republican Central Committee volunteers do the work.
We are living in extremely crucial times and clearly Republicans offer better opportunities with their Faith, Family and Freedom traditions.
Republicans at all levels across America need to do better at spreading their message of a favorable way of life, and it starts at the county level.
Tell them it was a Republican, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, that led America to victory in WWII creating the Greatest Generation.
Eisenhower became the first Supreme Allied Commander to NATO, elected president by a landslide, served two terms working to stop the spread of Communism.
Tell them that President Eisenhower created NASA, the interstate highway system, brought Alaska and Hawaii in to statehood and signed the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
Tell them how the liberal biased media is working to “fundamentally transform America.”
Explain why there are *no* Democrats on Mt. Rushmore.
