Questions about New London school board
I attended the New London school board meeting on Dec. 19, 2023 to better understand the thoughts of the school board on the purchase of a used skid-loader ($32,000) to be used by the Building and Trades class for the construction of a house. There are four students in this class and $26,000 has been raised from private donations.
My question is where would the funds come from to purchase a lot to build on, construction insurance, construction material, trailer to get said skid loader, and students to the job site and back, maintenance on the loader, etc. Who would do the plumbing, electrical, and landscape?
What if it takes a year or more to sell this house? How would interest on this loan be paid? I’ve spoken with a union rep who told me the unions are begging for helpers and apprentices. This type of training could come from the unions and save the district dollars.
Lots of questions. This plan is moving forward rapidly promoted by the shop class teacher and our superintendent.
Please try to attend the next school board meeting to become aware of several important issues that are currently on the table.

Children are at risk
The phenomenon exploded with Barack Hussein Obama’s promise to “fundamentally transform America.“
The LGBTQ agenda/movement has divided communities, government, schools, families and churches. It became so huge, so fast, unique and intriguing that independent investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson took a look.
If you missed her televised report Dec. 3, you can find the video and transcript on line.
Sharyl found that big money is pushing the agenda, pharmaceutical companies providing drugs to transform/mutilate kids are hauling in dollars by the truck load.
AbbVie makes Lupron, first used to castrate dangerous sex offenders, now given to kids to suppress puberty, brings in $2 Billion a year.
In seven major US cities, 40% of transgenders are infected with HIV.
Gilead Sciences manufactures 11 HIV medications and brings in $1.5 Billion a month.
Big money influences politicians, doctors, media, insurance companies, corporations, colleges, military and others.
The University of Minnesota’s “Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life” as well as charities like “The Trevor Project,” which advocates gender affirming care, join the plan.
Some liberal billionaires add to the well funded movement.
A rogue pastor might be comfortable ignoring God’s plan for two genders saying “kids can’t help how they are born.”
Fortunately, as in many other states, Iowa Republicans have protected children with a law that makes it illegal to mutilate/transition a child under the age of 18.
A recent Gallup study finds what we have always known, adolescents raised by liberal parents are far more likely to suffer from mental health problems than kids raised in a traditional conservative home.
