Please no parking tickets during Old Threshers

To the editor:
With Old Threshers approaching, I feel issuing parking tickets in uptown Mt. Pleasant should be prohibited.
I agree that, around the square where vendors load and unload merchandise, should be an exception. They encourage people to park uptown and ride the bus, and when they return they have a parking ticket. If they want people to participate in the reunion, they should not issue parking tickets during that time.
