Remembering Washington’s historic homes

To the editor,
Speaking of saving old historic buildings, on the corner where the Modern Eye Care is now there was a house, it was Dora Jones' house. It was a perfect example of historic gothic with towers and pinnacles. This was the most beautiful house I had ever seen. Never have I seen another house like it. To this day it makes me shutter when I think of it being torn down like a piece of trash.
