Sorry, no big bike for RAGBRAI

To the editor: Sadly, the big bike will not be here this year to greet the riders. When I learned RAGBRAI was coming back to Fairfield, I went to the facility I had it stored in and was informed it was broken and had been disposed of. The building's owner tried to call me but I missed the call.
I have had numerous inquiries about having it displayed again, so I just wanted to respond.
