111 sheep, 16 goats weighed in for county fair
The Jefferson County 4-H/FFA sheep and goat weigh-in took place from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Twenty-two 4-H and FFA members weighed in a total of 111 sheep.
Seven 4-H and FFA members weighed in a total of 16 goats.
Youth must bring all their market sheep and goats to the weigh-in event to be weighed for the 2013 Greater Jefferson County Fair set for June 25 through July 1.

The Jefferson County 4-H/FFA sheep and goat weigh-in took place from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Twenty-two 4-H and FFA members weighed in a total of 111 sheep.
Seven 4-H and FFA members weighed in a total of 16 goats.
Youth must bring all their market sheep and goats to the weigh-in event to be weighed for the 2013 Greater Jefferson County Fair set for June 25 through July 1.
At the county fair, the youth can participate in individual market classes, market pen classes, commercial breeding classes, purebred breeding classes and showmanship classes.
Those helping with the sheep and goat weigh-in included Jefferson County Fair Board members Bryan Lauderman, Mike Filson, Larry Horton, Richard Heald, Steve Fritchen, Terry Bonnett, Dennis Thomes and Chad Reed as well as volunteers Mike Burkhalter, John Peck and youth volunteer Sam Dickinson.
