4-H Beef calf selection workshop to be held Sept. 17

4-H?ers involved in the beef project area are encouraged to attend this fall calf selection workshop at 4 p.m., Sept. 17, at the Pat Schneider Farm in Riverside (1440 Redwood Avenue).

With the assistance of the 4-H and Youth Committee, the beef department hosts this educational learning opportunity to improve and further develop the beef projects for 4-H?ers in Washington County. Whether the 4-H project is being purchased or coming from the family farm lot, now is the time to set goals for the year and start looking at calves. This workshop will help 4-H?ers find calves to best meet their goals. Calves will be on site for evaluation practice.

These workshops are open to all 4-H?ers. Parents are encouraged to attend. All should wear close-toed shoes.
