4-H Clubs make memories at the Washington County Fair

The Wellman Wranglers 4-H Club was sure to give fairgoers a warm welcome at the grand stand with their racing bale. Club members decorated together on Saturday. Members included: Jayce Frieden, Mycala Plank, Charlotte Wehr, Emilia Rodgers, Ella Leyh. This club is led by 4-H volunteers Roxanne Wehr, Morgan and Andy Rodgers.

“Race to the Fair” was the theme of the 4-H hay bale decorating contest at the Washington County Fair this year. 13 clubs decorated bales with a variety of Car races, finish lines, and so much more.

First place went to Wellman Wranglers 4-H Club for their decorated bale next to the grandstands. Second place was awarded to the Horse and Pony Club for their bale near the horse barn. Third place went to Washington Go-Getters with their bale by the little north entrance.

This was a great way for 4-H Club members to work on a project together that shares their enthusiasm for the fair and showcases their artistic creativity. Fairgoers enjoy finding the decorated bales throughout the fairgrounds and naming their favorites. Congratulations to all clubs that participated!
