4-H clubs make memories at Washington County Fair
Jul. 26, 2021 6:21 pm
“County Fair: Where Memories are Made” was the theme of the 4-H hay bale decorating contest at the Washington County Fair this year. Ten clubs decorated bales with designs of cameras to scenes of their favorite fair memories.
First place went to the Washington Go-Getters with their pig surrounded by favorite fair foods. Second place was awarded to the Limecreek Limelights for their picture perfect fair scene, titled “Capture the Moment.” Third place went to the 76 Progressives with their sunset family silhouette.
This was a great way for 4-H club members to work on a project together that shares their enthusiasm for the fair and showcases their artistic creativity. Fairgoers enjoy finding the decorated bales throughout the fairgrounds and naming their favorites.
